More projections than Sigmund Freud’s waiting room! We had a lucky 13 beams in all, across both sides of the Radowan hall in Yppenplatz. Including our new, tiny €1 two-slide antique.

Soho also saw for the first time ever all 8 shroomies on performance, and for the second night, we welcomed as special guest artist Marc a.k.a Deep Fjord.

Veteran shroomie Ruth now goes on sabbatical to a Peruvian alpine village to contemplate how the Austrians projected their spoor across the planet. She will be back at the end of the year, hopefully, elsewise we have to mount a rescue operation.

Rumours that we made the national news are still unconfirmed, but as one wit observed, a 30 second spot still leaves us 14 and a half minutes of fame in the bank account.

Notable highlights: a wonderful stage put us in a commanding position, and our two beamers saved the show. Our longest performance ever! Projectors were on by 21:00 and the last one was turned off on the dot at 05:00 … We cleared the building in 30 minutes, and were home and cracking the vodka by 06:00.

CastYourArt feels the magic! They have now posted up the video they made of 4shrooms. It was based on the delfin interview, and used lots of footage from recent and old performances. Even La Trinchera footage from the Sammlung Essl performance was slipped in!

Last Sunday was NetzNetz voting day and we were awarded 3000 euros for our 4shrooms4u documentation/education project.

Big thanks are due to MA7 and Stadt Wien and the underappreciated NetzNetz CoordinationSlaves!

Next steps: rewrite the plan to deal with this harder budget number, and start writing some scriptlets. The concept surrounds a series of 30second video clips, each one describing one technique. All the techniques together are collected into an educational resource for spreading the 4shrooms feeling.

The 4shroom analogue VIP lounge series was successfully launched last saturday (2.2.08) at the soundframe festival party @ TU wien, prechtlsaal. With special guest appearance of Andi, our new overheadgeekfriend! Welcome Andi!

For the first time we had 4 OHP continuously worked on for 3 hours! But we truly broke a record in spontaneous audience OHP takeover. we never knew who they where, but hey, they looked as if they had done this all their lives long. We shall hire them the next time, or at least get their e-mail adresses.

as we now have a few new images turning up … I was forced to write an automatic website. This takes away the artistic composition of before and creates a dynamic random composition, with the sole exception of leaving the big picture where it is.

Now … every time you refresh, the page re-arranges. So it is like a lottery of colour.

To make this tractable in programming terms, I simplified the words that were scattered across all blocks and put them into one single white block. Yeah, a little more boring but easier to find? Anyways, try it.

Georg is working on a History of Projection Lecture for 9th of January.
